When our founder and CEO, Faraz Tamboli, heard about a story from his dad of a Deaf and aphonic child named Mona who was unable to communicate with him. Listening to how Mona was misunderstood, underestimated, and dismissed and how these gaps in communication created two different worlds, Faraz knew something needed to be done. And so TalkMotion was born to connect these two worlds!
TalkMotion is a cloud-based communication technology that helps Deaf and aphonic people communicate easily with each other in school, at home, or in the workplace. We built this app because we believe that communication is a fundamental human need, and no one should have to feel restricted or excluded from being able to communicate freely.
We provide an easy-to-use platform for Deaf and Aphonic people in both professional and personal environments by making it easy for them to connect with each other. Whether you're looking for friends who can sign or just want an easier way to talk at work, TalkMotion has got you covered!
Deaf and aphonic people can sign and their movements will be picked up by the gesture detector. An Artificial Intelligence algorithm will convert these gestures into voice.
A hearing person can verbally respond, and TalkMotion will display sign language pictures on the screen using voice recognition so that the Deaf or Aphonic person can understand what the hearing person is saying.
TalkMotion uses the power of AI to translate sign language to voice and voice to sign language. It allows you to create and train your own custom gestures. We are working with experts in ASL to map a wide range of gestures.
Faraz invented TalkMotion, a talking device for deaf and aphonic children, that turns a sign language gesture into verbal language, or verbal language into sign language gestures. TalkMotion turns a sign language gesture into verbal language or verbal language into sign language gestures. Translating between sign language and voice can make it easier for people who are deaf or hard of hearing to communicate with those who do not know sign language and vice versa.

His device translates sign language into verbal language and verbal language back into sign language. Faraz hopes his invention will help expand the limited world of the Deaf and aphonic, allowing them to communicate in everyday life, talk with their families, and work in jobs they previously couldn’t.
